Lilith in Pisces

May 3rd 2019: Lilith, the mean lunar apogee, enters Pisces. For the rest of 2019 the Moon will be furthest from Earth in Neptune’s realm of dark subconscious waters and glittering illusions, altered states and rapture.

Lilith unifies and transcends opposites.  She is most closely associated in modern times with the violent chasm that separates obsolete religious cultural ideals of “good women/mothers” and “queers/whores” as more and more people wake up and recognize the ways we have internalized the lies about sex and identity that have been repeated and enforced for centuries. Black Moon Lilith, in natal position and in transit, can reveal the ways this chasm can manifest, and it also points the way to independence and reunification of the shattered parts.

At the moment Lilith enters Pisces, the Moon is at 29° Aries, sextile Lilith and trine Eros. Eros is at the end of his transit through Leo, building opposition to Lilith that will be complete on May 5th when he reaches 0° Virgo.

Eros transiting from Leo to Virgo, opposite Lilith as she enters Pisces, is about facing your insecurities, which often includes the devastating work of realizing the ways that the suffering of harm done to us is perpetuated by our own internalization of the attitudes and beliefs of those who harmed us. We can’t recognize this without being humble enough to admit that we’re carrying it and now we choose to put it down.
