I’ll start with asteroid Prometheus stationed retrograde in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces… click there to read all about the astrology of Prometheus and Chiron.

Prometheus in Virgo: Ten of Pentacles

At the end of the mission, he stands his ground, even in chains his heart is strong.  Moral certainty is something that cannot be stripped away by torture, not by an act of god.  Chained to the rock, when there is no way to move forward, only the strong survive.

Chiron in Pisces: Four of Cups

This is the myth of Jesus Christ telling his disciples to eat his body and drink his blood.  The mirror to Prometheus, also a Christ archetype, Chiron echoes the idea of moral certainty and standing your ground in what you feel in your heart to be right.  There is no higher authority

Sedna in Taurus: Seven of Pentacles

What better example of the pain and horror we must face in order to stand in the truth of who we are than Sedna.  Hanging on to the edge of the boat to save herself from drowning… she could not have imagined just letting herself sink to the bottom without a fight…  but this fight in her heart cost her the loss of her fingers.  The perfect action to express your life force can be the exact thing that makes you vulnerable, gets you killed.

Mars in Scorpio: Knight of Swords

Mars is the mirror of Sedna and elaborates on our perfect self-defense, answers the question what happens after we get killed?  Are we big fishes in a small pond or are we GODS?  Mars in Scorpio shows us how the most meaningful work with the greatest impact can be done without moving a muscle.  Taking a cognitive assessment of your circumstances and making a declaration to exist outside of what already exists, like a seed dreaming of being a flower.

Uranus in Aries: King of Swords

Completely overpowering Mars, Uranus crackles and snaps, actually at the center of all this energy and attention.  In the final degrees of Aries, forming a square to the Capricorn New Moon, Uranus demands a higher level of mastery, a higher level of wisdom, to surf these waves of density like a boss.  The King of Swords has collected so much knowledge that he no longer needs to slog through basic puzzles.  War is all around us, and yet this is the moment that you realize you actually don’t have to fight anymore. Over it.

Saturn in Capricorn: Queen of Swords

While Uranus is over the cognitive calisthenics of chaos-surfing, and Mars inverts it, Saturn is dwelling in it, wading in it, taking an accurate sample and testing for results.  No one can fool Saturn.  No one can cross the Queen of Swords.  With love we are reminded that coming up against a Ring Pass Not does not indicate failure.  It feels like failure but it isn’t.  Sometimes it’s just harsh to be held up under a bright light and examined, even on your best day.

Lilith in Capricorn: Eight of Swords

There is no greater perfection than this.  The masculine principle embodied in the feminine, the antlered doe, the grandmother matriarch elephant, lightning striking a mountain.  Real strength means that being attacked doesn’t even bother you.

Pluto in Capricorn: The Priestess

Forever pregnant and never giving birth, the Priestess holds space for the vision of what is to follow after this crushing pressure, stuck pockets, bursting earth, catastrophic eruptions.  Stories have a beginning, middle, and end.  Pluto is crossing from the end of the middle to the beginning of the end.  This is the third trimester of destruction.  Be patient.  Patient!!!  While the world falls down all around you, find an egg that you can love and sit on it.

The Capricorn New Moon: Four of Swords

In resonance with Uranus, Saturn, Mars, and Lilith by suit, and in resonance with Chiron by number,  the Four of Swords is PEACE worth fighting for.  Once you have a firm grip on a vision of a healed future there should be no amount of pain that can shake you.  A force of nature like the seasons, a quiet heart can’t be defeated.

Venus in Capricorn: The Devil

The most sensitive feeling planet in the most critical and harsh degrees of the zodiac, lit up by the new moon’s darkness/hidden shining, Venus is a bridge to what lies beneath.  Down and dirty, mud where the lotus comes from, Dionysus hangover.  Venus slips through the cracks, peeking into the forbidden, poking it with a stick like a child innocently curious about an animal’s corpse.
